Frequently Asked Questions

1. What services do you offer?

We offer a variety of lawn care services including fertilization, weed control, aeration, overseeding, and insect control for the lawn.

2. How often should I mow my lawn?

Typically, lawns should be mowed every 1 to 2 weeks during the growing season. Mowing frequently and leaving at least 3 inches in height is the best practice during the summer to prevent heat stress. The sun will penetrate the soil and hurt the root system if the grass is not high enough. The tall grass will provide protection.

3. How long will it take to service my lawn?

This depends on the service being provided and the size of the lawn. Typically a service will take between 15 and 45 mins. Our services are performed very 5 to 7 weeks on average. We will notify you a day before service. I you have a weed or insect issue, we recommend you reach out for a follow up service instead of waiting for your next scheduled service.

4. how long after service do I wait to use my lawn?

If a weed control or insecticide spray has been applied, you want to allow this product to dry before you use the lawn. We recommend you wait 3-4 hours before you use the lawn.

5. When can I water or mow my lawn after service?

We recommend you wait till the following morning to mow or water the lawn. The weed control and insecticide needs time to dry to be fully effective. If you mow or water the lawn to soon after an application, you may mow or wash away the product and reduce the effectiveness. Some products like lime or grub prevention do require it to be washed in shortly after an application for you to get the best results. We will leave you instructions the day of service.

.6. Do you provide landscaping services?

No, We do not offer mowing or landscaping services. We recommend you mow the lawn yourself or hire a service. Mowing the lawn yourself is always the best option but we understand that is not always possible. If you do hire a landscaper, we recommend you instruct them to follow certain practices. This includes mowing high during the summer months and not mowing the same day we service your lawn. You also want to try to avoid having them mow when it is too hot as this may result in stress and browning.

7. How do I know when to water my lawn?

A good rule of thumb is to water your lawn when the grass begins to look slightly wilted or when footprints remain visible. Typically, lawns require about 1 inch of water per week. Every lawn is different and requires different practices. This is due to many factors like soil type, shade and drainage. We will work with you to put together a plan that works for you. We recommend you reach out if you notice browning or areas that hold too much water.

8. What equipment will your team use?

Our team uses professional-grade equipment tailored to deliver optimal care for your lawn. We ensure that all tools are regularly maintained for efficiency and effectiveness.

9. Are your services environmentally friendly?

We strive to use eco-friendly products and techniques in our lawn care practices. Our approach aims to minimize environmental impact while promoting healthy lawns. The use of herbicides are required to get you the best possible results. With this being said, we will always take a low pesticide approach and only use what is needed to get you the best results. If you have concerns with pesticides, we can discuss program in which we only apply fertilizer and seed.

10. will an aeration damage my sprinkler system?

The tines on an aerator only go into the soil about 2-3 inches. The sprinkler lines are buried about 8 to 12 inches deep if installed correctly. In some cases, sprinkler lines do rise closer to the surface over time. This is usually due to tree roots. The only part of the sprinkler system that is prone to damage are the sprinkler heads because they are on the surface. We do our best to avoid these during an aeration. In the event that we damage a head, we will replace them. Marking the heads prior to our service is also an option for clients who choose to do so.
